Can you explain exactly what happens in both these?

Hi dmedraft

Import Scene opens an LS5 Scene file.  An LS5 Scene file is a single file with all data of the Scene, including entourage and Imported Objects with materials.

An LS5 file is created with Lumion Pro using the Export to LS5 feature.
Lumion (standard) can open an LS5 scene.

The feature is used for collaboration.

Merge is a feature of Lumion Pro.  A user can Merge = open and import in to the currently open scene, objects from a Scene exported as an LS5 file.

This feature is used for more rapid creation of scenes based on other scenes.  You can Merge to an Empty Scene or one with other objects already in it.

With it you can add, or add and remove existing, or skip objects for the category. (see attached pic)
