Welcome, asude1993. :)

I'm sorry to hear that you're getting an error.

Lumion 7.5 Trial version is quite old now but it should indeed be possible to import .SKP files from SketchUp 2016.

To get the ball rolling, please zip + upload the .SKP file to a file host, e.g. wetransfer.com, and forward the download link to [email protected]

By the way, since you're using version 7.5 which only includes a limited number of models and materials, I should mention that we also offer a Lumion 9.0.2 Pro Trial version which is available from your local reseller. This version is valid for 7 days from the date of issue and works just like the full commercial version.

Here's the information about the two Trial versions and how to get Lumion 9.0.2 Pro Trial:

The problem is that the .SKP file was saved in SketchUp 2018.

Lumion 7.5 Trial was released before SketchUp 2018 existed.

Unfortunately the SketchUp developers changed the .SKP file format in version 2018 which made it incompatible with Lumion 7.5 and older versions.

To resolve the problem, simply save the .SKP format as a SketchUp 2017 file in SketchUp 2018 and import that version in Lumion.

Alternatively, I'd recommend testing Lumion 9.0.2 Pro Trial as mentioned earlier as you can import .SKP files from all SketchUp versions in that version of Lumion.

Let us know if you've got any other questions.

Just to clarify, you need to save it to the SketchUp version 2017 file format.

You can do that inside SketchUp 2018 (if that's the version you're using) via File -> Save As -> Save As Type -> SketchUp 2017.

By the way, I can see that you're affiliated with a university.

Are you aware that you can apply for a free Student version of Lumion 9 Pro?

All that you need to do is to contact your local reseller:
