Reflections can be of two types - world cubemap via the Reflection Control
, or local planar using Reflection Planes
See further LUMION 4: Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts
By default all materials with a Reflectivity, use the default Reflection Control
. This takes a picture of the world from a centre point 50 meters above ground.
To make the reflections local to the interior of the building, add your own Reflection Control
and move it in to the room.
You can in combination, use planar reflections for surfaces like the glass doors. To do that, add a Reflection Effect
in Photo Mode
or Movie Mode
(see Tips and Video Tutorials). This type of reflection gives planar accurate local reflections but costs more to render than does the Reflection Control which has less detail/quality.
