Hi,buddies,I really need help right now,I've been working on a project and the deadline is pretty close. But after getting everything done ,I can't export the animination!!!The first serval times it says "Error creating custom  cubemap texture" and later I did export a scene with low quaility.Every time I wanted to export a HD quality movie, the lumion says faild to lock2! But it gets worse now. I hit the save movie item,It dosn't respond at all,but i still can get back to the "build scene" interface,if i choose to load or quit,it says "went out of meomory"
Can somebody tell me what can i do to solve this problem?
My pc memory is 6g 32bit,but I can only use about 4g
my cpu is amd phnom(tm)x6 1055t processor 2.8GHz
and my gpu is gtx560 1gb

the model I've importd is about 280mb(inculding textures),I importd them separately.

really need your help,thank you.

Well you are right on the edge of the limits of your system.....
You need more expert help with this but as  a chance...I have done this before.

You can open your task manager and look at the processes running...most will be CPU related but even so shut every other user process you can find...free up what ever memory you can....If you are running any other apps that are using GPU you must of course shut them off first....just be careful not to shut off any system processes....If you don't know what it is don't close it.

Couple of things also:

1. given the time on mucking around it might be quicker and long term better, if practical, to simply increase your RAM, get 2 4GB sticks, hardly cost much these days so would be worth it

2. reduce the texture resolutions you are using in your model, only keep high res ones for closeups, for example reducing a 2048x2048 to 512 x512 or maye 1024x1024 will make a big diff to available GPU memory.  See Tips and Tricks FAQ, and there's a recent topic about reloading of textures and Lumion limits.  Copy your source export folder for backup, then use an image tool to batch change all required textures to a lower res, should only take about 10 minutes and reload, there's no need to edit the textures in your DCC.

One other thing, if not currently doing so, but make sure you save your project with new names so you have some versioning, this might clean things up a little but also protect you if there's a real memory problem and the project gets saved in some corrupted form.  Lumion seems very, very stable and good in this area so it's just for insurance purposes given the memory issues.

Hi handlez, I assume that you are using the latest version of Lumion?

Long term solution: You need to install Windows 64-bit, since the 32-bit version of Windows is unable to allocate more than 3.5gb ram to each application, regardless of how system RAM you have installed.

Short term solution: If you turn on "Low mem" mode in the Settings menu, Lumion will automatically reduce all textures that are bigger than 1024x1024 pixels to 512x512 pixels. Then try to render the movie again and let us know if it works.
