Suppose it will be a bit pricey for a while.

Still needs to have 4GB and not the 3GB.  Still don't understand why the 770 has 4GB and not this one.

Rest of specs, clock speeds, fill-rate, bandwidth all out do the Titan ( :'( sorry guys).

Very fast but limited by the Ram, so Titan is still king of the geforce cards.

and then there is this: http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/24/nvidia-announces-12gb-quadro-k6000-gpu/

Well that settles that then, Titan's days are over, wonder when the first 12GB Geforce cards will roll out

This is when I wish Santa was real as I have been a good boy all year and that would be on my Christmas list for sure.

Now that's what I have been waiting for and putting off upgrading  :-D.  Of course there's the wait period and additional cost but 6GB or 12GB  :o   :o

Trying to get hands on one of those in other parts of the world will be impossible for probably 6+months, so more wait time  :(.

The extra VRAM GB will be of benefit for coping with larger or more complex Lumion scenes, not that 3GB is small  ;).

It's likely like the 780 that the Titan has lots of hidden capacity under the hood not yet exposed.  It still has a much faster FPU than anything on the planet, not so important here, but NVIDIA's market is also for highly configured scientific systems.

Does the ram make much difference over say 4gb? I thought that ram was used to deal with bigger models so if you are modelling a house not an estate or a city it almost went unused, any comments?

You are in general, correct.

The more VRAM, the larger the scenes that can be done.  So, as you say, if you are just doing single houses all the extra may not be warranted, and for single properties probably 2GB is quite sufficient.

However, more VRAM also means that larger textures ie higher resolution texturing can be done, which can have a positive impact on final quality.

Probably not yet in the marketplace stucki.

The Ti is now released by some of the manufaturers such as EVGA, but for the special edition I did not notice yesterday any mention of outlets.

If you here of one please let me (I mean us all) know  :-D  :-D

there is this pretty nice nvidia action, when you buy the card in the next weeks, you get assassins creed blackflag, batman origins and splintercell for nothing ...

not that i find much time for gaming, but this is a 150 € present i would gladly take ..

When looking at these cards, which part of the spec makes the most difference for decreasing the second/frame when rendering?

If the GPU Vram has more to do with the size of the scenes you can rendering, just wondering what part of the spec to look at to determine which card will render faster.

We currently are using 680 GTX Classified 4 GB and would like to decrease rendering times.
