Hi folks,

I just got my dongle, but there was no help file with it. What do I have to do? Plug it in and your software will find it automaticall? Because the settings are still on trial on the moment. I first want know what to do, before I do something wrong and then can t work on Lumion anymore for some hours or so. By the way, the bill for the software was not included in the delivery. Can you send it to me by emaill?

Just plug the dongle in a USB port, if the green light comes on, its ready to use.

Thats all you need to do.

Here is some help about what you can do with the hardware key (You can also work remotely by putting the dongle in a computer that can be accessed over the internet. Be very careful with your dongle, don't lose it!)

About the bill: you received it in your mailbox from Avangate when you ordered Lumion. You can contact Avangate customer support or [email protected] if you lost it.

Ah ok. What you need to do is this:

1) If you are now using the DEMO: Install full version of lumion. You should have this link in your email and it's also on the DVD you got with the dongle.

2) During install it asks if you want to install the sentinel driver/serve. Say yes.

3) If Sentinel installed correctly you can insert the dongle and it will light up green.

4) Start lumion

You can also install sentinel on a server or other computer that acts as a server. When the license screen pops up you can enter the ip or name of your server and you can use Lumion. This is great if you want to share the license between multiple computers. At home I connect to the office via VPN and I can run Lumion. Note that a single license only allows you to connect to the dongle once. It's not possible to connect to one license with two people.

Floating license is very simple: Just install the Sentinel server software (comes with Lumion install) and insert dongle. Now on every computer you can start Lumion and fill in the ip or name of the computer that has the dongle. Only tricky part is the firewall but if you open up the right port it works fine. When you install Lumion on a computer which only connects to a floating license you don't even need to install the Sentinel software.
