[Resolved] EXPORT MESH / MODEL FROM LUMION

I am not a regular Lumion user, under a trial license I had imported a couple of models to experiment with the environment.

I have recently had a hard drive failure losing a couple of specific files, some of which contained modeled content that had been imported into Lumion.

I still have LS files, am I able to extract / export my content that had previously been imported?

Regards
-jc

Hi jc, sorry to hear about your harddrive crash - most of us know how frustrating that is... :-\

Unfortunately it's not possible to extract/export models from Lumion scenes for use in 3D modelling applications.

If you import the LS6 files, the imported models will be added to Documents/Lumion 6/Library but those files can obviously only be used inside Lumion.

Have you tried to run file recovery software, e.g. Recuvva, or is the harddrive totally dead?

Morten,

I certainly appreciate the expedient response.
All recovery attempts have proven unsuccessful, the drive is dead.

That's really unfortunate :(

I hope you can recover the lost data some other way.
