Hi Virgil, welcome to the Lumion community
re GTX 680M:
The benchmark is a guide, and is also scaled relative to measuring between the low end and allowing now for the very high end of GPU performance with the new Titan.
Please see
LUMION 3: Minimum hardware requirements and
Passmark - High End Videocards.
The GTX680M has an excellent Passmark of 4043, so should do well, but please keep in mind the complexity of scenes guide also mentioned in link above. The amount of VRAM also influences the allowable complexity and quality of textures to work with.
It's the best mobile card out there (excl the 680MX), so most users here will be jealous

. Mobile cards excluding the 680M series have been set with performance at less than half their desktop counterpart due to power consumption restrictions etc. The 680M brings the mobile much closer to the desktop, but you will gain the most from a desktop solution, especially if considering a Titan or 700 series as they get to market.
re lights etc:
If you are used to ray traced results from such as VRay, mentalRay etc then you will notice differences in final render results. The Lumion advantage is in rapid building of scenes, capability to handle large scenes, simplified and direct, and rapid rendering with good to excellent quality suitable for most clients who don't require high end photo realistic quality (re slow, time consuming, costly ...

), but it gets close.
You can adjust lighting, shadow, saturation etc via the effects that can be added in to Photo Mode and Movie Mode.
We would be keen to see any demo (we like to see the watermarks

) if and when you are able to submit to the forum.
