hello..
i have a question about light.. when i apply some lights in my lumion model the render time is getting twice than usual..
i've reduce my shadow cache to 512, and the render time has already reduced..

my question is, which 1 will be faster in render time :
if i use some lights with 512 shadow cache  or  if i delete all of the lights from my lumion model..
or the render time will be the same or not really far between them??

thanks..

It's faster to delete all lights, but results vary depending on your PC specifications, so just carry out a test to find out what the impact of the lights are in your scene (place the lights on their own layer and just hide that layer while rendering).

There's more information about render times here:

The latest version of Lumion 2.5 has 20 layers.

If you reduce the show cache from 512 to 256 it will again increase render speed, may not be too noticeable depending on how many lights are used, and it depends on scene and PC performance as well.  All depends what you need for the scene, use higher shadow cache or dynamic if you are moving close in to lit areas and need the better quality.

If you have for example a day and night scene, then putting all the lights in a layer and hiding the layer for the day time scene will improve the render (almost, as if deleting the lights).

The extra layers (from 5 to 20) was introduced in v2.2.

Why use v2.1B4?  You can download the latest.
