Before I spend the money to buy this I had a question.
I want to be able to import and customize my materials.  I use Sketch Up and I like how I can import custom textures (I usually use a JPG from sites like Turbo Squid) and color them and size them for my specification.   Can you do this with Lumion?  For example a specific color of wood siding.  I'm not finding too much information on this.  Thanks.

Hi beckymitchell, yes - that's possible.

There's a Colorization slider which lets you tint imported textures.

You can import custom textures via the Color Map slot of the Standard material.

There are also Position and Orientation sliders and a Scale slider.

Please note that Lumion treats imported custom textures as square, regardless of whether the original image is rectangular.

However, you can bypass this by setting the Scale slider to 0, so that the texture placement coordinates of the original model are used instead of Lumion's texture placement coordinates.

There's more information about how the sliders work in this Knowledge Base article.

Before purchasing Lumion, I would recommend that you test the fully functional 7-day Trial version of Lumion Pro 6.0.1, available via your local reseller.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi,

Just a suggestion, i can remember that this has been showed in a tutorial somewhere from lumion.
Where you guys turn the texture from the swimming pool (standaard lumion model villa whit swimming pool)
and you turn it into some quint off ground whit an image from google.

I just say this because a movie tutorial always is more understandable then words i think :)
Maybe if you could find it it would be handy for beckymitchell.
