Custom Terrain and Tree bug?

Hello,  I am new to the product and have been evaluating the free edition for upcoming projects and I have a rather bizarre issue.

1:  When I try to import a terrain map from 3ds max into lumion, it always gets treated as a static mesh.  Is there a way to make a custom terrain which will cover a large area (8x8 KM)

2:  This is the bizarre part. (see attachment)  I import my Static mesh terrain and try to plant forests all over with the Ctrl-click shortcut.  Only one tree is placed on top, the rest have fallen to the bottom of the world. out of site.

Is there a way to make foliage groups appear only on top of their destination instead of below?

Hi amadeus2000, the native terrain in Lumion covers 2048x2048m. There is no way to increase the size of this, apart from importing your own static terrain mesh. However, bear in mind that you can apply a Landscape material to this mesh, which allows you to paint it as if it was a native Lumion terrain.

Only one tree is placed on top, the rest have fallen to the bottom of the world. out of site.

This is a known limitation and the developers are aware of the problem. The terrain functionality is essentially in need of an overhaul :)
