Thanks for the clarification.
There are two texture placement options in Lumion 5.3 (and later versions):
Imported texture coordinates and automatic texture coordinates.
The automatic texture coordinates are based on box mapping but with blended borders to reduce distortion.
There's more information in
this Knowledge Base article (Search for "
Scale").
In your case, it sounds like you'd be better off by assigning the texture in your 3D modelling application before importing the model in Lumion.
