Hello Guys,
i am new to lumion and i do not know,  how to handle and where to get additional content, which you can not find in the library of lumion.

how to you handle to create a forest with may trees ? ist there a way not to place single trees and copy them ?

I also need skiing persons  and snowpreparation machines.
does anybody know where to get ?

You can make your own library of objects, by simply importing them using the Import Object features and then use them from your library, so this is how to extend the fixed content library of Lumion.

Imported objects are other 3d models imported from other sources, purchased from sites like turbosquid (see list of 3d resources elsewhere in forum). Or, modelled yourself.  Note that some other models are not well suited to Lumion such as trees meshes from Max etc that contain 100'sK poly per object.

See the FAQ Tips and Tricks for a number of things in using Lumion.  You can quickly create a forest by simply selecting groups of trees, using the Alt key drag and place (select/click on move icon + Alt).  So if you started by placing say 5 trees, use the Alt copy to place another 5 trees then select all 10 trees and Alt copy those you can quickly build up large numbers.

Just another qustion, where I faced a problem. I have posted before.  How to import content that is animated ?  I imported it, everything is fine, but no movements.

Yep, have just seen post and replied, unfortunately at moment Lumion only supports import of animations for animation of the transform, no skinned, vertex or morph based stuff.

If you only need to see the forest in the distance, you could try to add some Cluster models. Just bear in mind that you can't change the pitch/bank values of most nature objects, so if your terrain is mountainous clusters won't work that well.
