Did i understand well ? This is based on simple photos ?
Last year a commercial from FARO come at my agency to show us the FARO 3D laser ( the big one)...

But it was for us too hard to use for many reason....

Autodesk already has a software like this, you can even use your iPad/Iphone for this:

Yes you can... you can EXPORT CAPTURE as FBX
