well, maybe i did not describe the advantage i see in saving settings exactly. let us try.
so, i work on a wide ranged area of about 12 km2 with lots of buildings and landscape areas.
for this now you can save only 10 views . in these views (picture section, not video) only the camera vector is saved, not the parameters like sun and clouds etc, which , for my opinion are very important for the composition of a view.
the idea of the programmers was probably to have 10 views and to be able to change the surround parrameters for all of them at once and to generate pictures, make new settings and save again.
that is one possible philosophy.
for my work i need:
more saved pictures in the project OR reloadable banks of those 10 pictures as total recall to save the mood , not only the view, the best would be a unlimited list of views, with parameters listed linewise to be able to copy them from one view to another.
total recall means saved definable light, clouds etc. per picture, since i adjust shadows for every picture to get the best result. do you really want to spend time for rearranging the light , when you change the architecture and have to recreate an older view exactly (light, sun fog etc) ?
and i want to recall the picture in the whole within the project, after reloading for example a new version of one skyscraper.
i think a total recall of a view in such a phantastic software is a MUST .
as discibed before, we have a workaround in the video-section, but not all parameters available. anyway, it's fantastic.
could i explain my point of view a bit?
