Ok so bought Lumion 3 pro about a week ago. Made an amazing and awesome model in revit, got it perfected in lumion then packed up my computer and took it to a client meeting. I talked very highly about the advantages of BIM, computers and architecture and with a skeptical client and boss you can imagine how EMBARRASSING this was when I was welcomed with this screen when starting Lumion in the meeting. I can't even express my disappointment. Emergency activation code? If I HAD INTERNET I COULD HAVE GOTTEN IT!!!! DUH!!! Luckily I was able to leave the meeting, create an MP4 and upload to youtube for the client but this is still a HUGE kick in the groin for me and our business.

Looks like you have learned a lesson or two about preparing for meetings. Other than that I am as well looking forward to a day when we have a proper standalone viewer for Lumion.
Question: As you are a pro user, why did you not post this in the pro section of the forum?

The viewer should be released early this week. It doesn't need an internet connection. Never hurts to also have the mp4 available on your computer.

And yes I learned a thing or two, its just not something you expect. I never thought about this and there was never a need to work offline before this. I understand why the lumion team did this but there are better ways around this. Lesson learned for me HOWEVER I think lumion should modify the software to automatically go into viewer mode when internet is down to at least allow you to open the file offline. We in the office were all so excited about this software talking about how we could take it to the client, take it in the field and really wherever we go. I'm still hopeful but they basically are now saying that we aren't there yet and time to return to the old way of doing things. Its just frustrating because it was one tiny mistake.

Lumion DOES go into viewer mode automatically. But that only happens when you double click an LS3 file! Also in 3.0.2!

I'll ask about your pro icon and access.

It's a systemic disease nowadays to make everything dependent on the Internet. Enough said.

I am curious though about why I dont have access to the Pro forum when it says my product is linked to my account. Weird.

Yes, this has happened to a small handful of people. Arthur is investigating the problem.
