I am doing some research for my Firm and i know that you offer VR with your product but will you also offer AR in the future? My Firm is in the process of becoming a pilot for the HoloLens so we are doing some searching if there are any Visualization type software to help make these AR environments come to life.

Hi JMRTC8, unfortunately we can't answer that question as the developers of Lumion don't comment on what may or may not be added to future updates.

If there's any news, you'll see it here on the forum and/or on the Lumion website and/or in one of our newsletters.

As always, you should make decisions based on current features.

Appreciate that may not give you a lot of information to go on. :-\

Hey Reid, I'd be grateful if you could elaborate a bit more on how you'd like to use AR in your workflow.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Morten,

We are using Lumion now to do fly throughs and viewing stations in our student landscape designs;

but ideally, we would like to do this in landscape architecture;

Is that helpful?

Thank you,

Great Morton,

I'm glad that helped. Please keep me in the loop if you folks head down that road. My co-worker in the Architecture department has the HoloLens and I'd rather get that as we also have the Trimble Geo 7x. The VTC Vive is super cheap though.

Keep doing great things! We love your product and in fact, having experience with Lumion helped two of our students get jobs. Nice.

Best wishes,

Reid

Will do.

Although I can't speak for the team in terms of which direction they'll be taking Lumion in in the future (this is not revealed in advance for a number of reasons), I personally have great expectations for the HoloLens. There's a lot to get excited about in my opinion, and even more so than immersive VR (sorry to offend conventional VR afficionados :)).

Keep doing great things! We love your product and in fact, having experience with Lumion helped two of our students get jobs.

Thanks for the kind words, I'll pass them on to the rest of the team. :)
