Came across this today.

Sesopia MagicPlan FloorPlan on iPad and iPhone using augmented reality to create floor plans from real buildings.  

And its free, except of course there is a paid version (CSI) with a few extras.

But if you need to be in the field and get a floorplan then import to CAD/Revit/Max and then to Lumion, seems without further investigation as to how good it really is, a very direct workflow and perhaps better than a tape measure.
