Aloha over there.. A few questions.

How much does it cost to install Lumion in to computer ( my office ) ?.

Do i have to pay for another extra license or its included ?

And a question i made to Arek Brzegowy from the polish lumion forum... how good is the license protect system ? I ask you this becouse i wouldnt like to buy Lumion and see a few weeks later on the net the full version of it for free... Sorry to ask you this, for me ( im from Argentina ) is a very expensive thing to buy ) :).

I did buy another real time rendering software and the license was so good that until today, 3 or 4 years later... no one couldnt CKRACK it.

I know that you cant really tell how safe its becouse there is always some good hackers, but still , i was curious about that.

And one last thing.

I have a friend who could buy the software for me, he lives in the Netherlands... ( holland or whatever the name is ). So its possible he can transfer the money and i can get the software ? Nothing els to ask guys.

Thanks too much.

Sad to say that -all- copy protected software can be hacked if a talented hacker is motivated to do so.  There isn't a copy protection scheme anywhere that is 100% theft proof.  It does seem that the more popular the software the more likely someone will try to hack it.  Lots of money is spent on protecting big budget video games but hackers manage to find a way regardless.

I certainly wouldn't let this influence my decision to license or use Lumion though.

You are rigth... i wont change about buying the license couse that. But... i dont know... may be they can " Control " some how the legals and ilegals version. For example, Ilegal versions wouldnt be able to get acces to the main library on the net ( just an example ) or to get any kind of updated or support.

So I am waiting for the answer if a friend of mine who lives in the Netherlands can buy the software for me.... He pays i get it. Can i ?

Lumion uses Sentinel software for piracy protection. It also supports floating licenses for use in the office and at home. It is fairly safe and very user friendly compared to a lot of other anti-piracy solutions.

However…crackers are smart, so most probably Lumion will be cracked as well.

If you are interested in buying Lumion in Poland I suggest you contact one of our resellers in Poland

Hello Martiin,

Of course it is possible to have someone else pay for your software. Just make sure he lets us know!

Also you will get a network dongle which you can place anywhere on your network. If you can access the dongle from home you can work from any computer you want. So this means you can install Lumion on all your computers. You can only start 1 of them of course unless your dongle has more then 1 license :P

We are very sure someone will crack Lumion if it would get popular. We don't pretend to be better programmers then the rest of the world when it comes to security of the program. The security was made in such a way that we hope it is very friendly to the customers.

Of course there are benefits to having the legal version. For one you won't have to be ashamed to post your work in our user gallary which we will want to put in our main page. We want your logo's and company name besides it for your free advertisements and for us to show actual real world projects made with Lumion.

Further we will listen very closely to people who buy the software and which direction they wan't development to go. Also we will have some big update which you will get immediatly. You can also ask us for a bug fix which we will supply quickly.

Also remember that buying a license helps us stay in business and develop new content!

We know even though the price is low compared to other software that for many parts of the world 749,- euro is still a lot of money. We hope though that we made Lumion good enough for you to still want to buy a legal version!

Hope this helps!
