I was a bit disappointed with my cheap video editor, so I decided to check out the current prices of Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects licenses. To my surprise, I found this:

For a subscription of US$600/year, you get:

Acrobat Pro
After Effects
Audition
Dreamweaver
Encore
Flash Pro
Illustrator
Photoshop
Lightroom
Premiere
...always up to date with the latest and greatest version.

Looks like it's time to ditch GIMP, Inkscape, Audacity and Corel VideoStudio.

An interesting review by the usually skeptical Dvorak:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2408563,00.asp

"this will make the products cheaper for the serious users and it will bring in new users who are forced to use old code because they cannot afford $2,600 for the full package."

What do you think?
Is it worth it for us archviz people?

i have bought the production premium suite a year ago and find it quite impressing.
Seeing now that i could have had all the software for so much less money makes me feel a little depressed  :-[.

if i would not have bought the suite earlier i would do it right now.
the power of the hole suite is really good. i dont regret buying it, even though i dont use every programm of it on a frequent basis.

kind regards
