5.3 Demo freezing on benchmarking

I'm having some issues trialing Lumion 5.3. The program freezes when it starts its benchmarking.
I don't believe it's my hardware, as i have a licensed version of 2.5 and that runs fine on the same computer.

Computer Spec:
Processor: i7 5960X @ 3.00ghz
RAM: 32Gb
Videocard: nvidia GTX 980
HD: Mushkin Scorpion Deluxe SCSI

What am i doing wrong?

Thanks for the interest in version 5.  Nothing you are doing wrong.  :)

Your PC specifications look fine, however can you please attach to a post the Lumion DXDiag Report (from Lumion v2),  else from Windows: Windows Start -> Run -> type in DXDiag -> press Enter.

Try this:
1. In Windows Explorer, go to the folder "C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\LumionDemo 5".  Delete the three files "benchmark.qls", "benchmark.txt", "settings45.ini".
2. Run the Demo.
3. When it gets to the Benchmarking, does it now complete the process?
4. If not, then delete those files again.  And run the Demo again.
5. This time, when it gets to the Benchmarking, press Esc key to Escape the Benchmark.  Are  you now able to proceed to the rest of Lumion?

Please find attached DXDiag as requested.

Also following that address path "C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\LumionDemo 5"
There is no "LumionDemo5" folder, however, I can see my Lumion 2 folder.
A serach for "benchmark.qls", "benchmark.txt", "settings45.ini" on the C drive finds nothing.
The only benchmark files I can find are :benchmark.ls3 benchmark.cgr

Thanks for DXDiag.  Looks fine, more than fine and drivers are up to date.  :)

Strange re the folder, it should be created by the demo when Lumion first starts.  Have just confirmed it does do so here.

It sounds as if Lumion is not able to write folders and files to your user Documents folder.  But as a user in your own Windows Profile that should occur anyway.

You could try running the Demo as Administrator (Windows Right click on "Lumion.exe" in "C:\Program Files\Lumion Demo 5.3".

Otherwise, can you try adding the main folder and three sub-folders directly in Windows Explorer (see attached pic), and then try the Demo again.  Note there is a space between "LumionDemo"  and "5".

Bonus question: Have you double-checked that Lumion.exe isn't restricted by your anti-virus software, SWB Design?

Solved,
it was "Run as administrator" that made it work!
