I guess I don't have understood how I can do a 3D render in Lumion.
Can I use colored 3d (green/red glasses)or is it an active shutter?

I applied the movie effect but dont see and difference. Do I need a special setup?

You need to press CTRL at the movie export screen and you get a button to change the output type to 3D.

In 3D mode it will render left and right eye split screen. You can upload this movie to youtube for example and specify the 3D tag: yt3d:enable=true

Youtube will load a different player which allows you to select red/green or one of many other 3D viewing methods.

For NVIDIA 3D Vision you do not need to do anything other than configuring the NVIDIA driver.

You know another player beside YouTube which supports red/green 3d movies? So I can view it offline?

There are tools that can convert it also I think. Maybe someone knows which one.

There is colorcode as well.  It uses slightly different coloured glasses but the principal is the same.
