Hi Whirlpool! My needs for this suggested build revolve mainly around very heavy photoshop use, multi-tasking this with programs like Lumion (a real-time 3d architectural visualisation tool) which are densely populated with city-scale detailed models. To give a bit more information Lumion uses the same engine as Crisis but obviously isn't as optimised. I find it can more taxing in many applications than most modern games, like Skyrim for instance. Likely programs include Revit, Lumion, Photoshop and some sort of music player will likely be running simultaneously, alongside who knows what else (Illustrator, Chrome ect.). It will also be used for music production. I also like running things on a 27" @ 2560x1440 screen! I might one day run Crossfire if programs become more intensive.
I'm not an experienced builder, this will be my first so I have come to the professionals for wisdom and advice.
In summary, i essentially need a 2560x1440 gaming rig with upgradable potential, that can slay excessively big photoshop files – reliably and consistently and often at the same time.
