This sould have been an easy way if i could have inserted the fbx file created from C4D into Lumion, which i couldn't and  if i could have opened big dwg files into sketchup and exported in 3ds format which i couldn't either so.......

Thanks

Hmm, not good.

I think the number of people who use Cinema4D with Lumion can be counted on one hand, so we have almost zero feedback about that pipeline here in the forum.

Would you mind posting a simple FBX file from Cinema4D in the Importing section, so that Artur can investigate why this isn't working? Even a simple box will do (assuming that it can't be imported in Lumion)...

(Btw, you can import DWG files in the 64-bit version of Lumion 2. It will also be available in the 32-bit version as soon as the upcoming 2.1 Build 1 is released)

It should be possible to import textured objects from AutoCAD via DWG (or FBX). Unfortunately, some of the built-in materials with textures in the AutoCAD Material Library can only be used in AutoDesk products, so they will appear untextured when imported in all non-AutoDesk products.

You should however be able to apply your own textured materials to your objects in AutoCAD and import those in Lumion via DWG/FBX.

If you have any problems with importing, please create a post in the Importing section of the forum, so that Artur, our import/export guru, can investigate the problem.
