You really weren't joking when you said you had little patience
1) I assume that you have 2 objects in Cinema4D:
Wall -> This is the wall with the grey brick texture
Wall_Wave -> Apply your wave pattern texture to this copy, and make sure it's positioned the way you want in Cinema4D.
It doesn't matter which format the texture is. I used .jpg but you can use any format, and no alpha channel is required. All we're going to do in Lumion is to overlay a texture on top of your grey brick wall, using a copy of the wall with a glass material. For now, just bear in mind that the white parts of the texture will be invisible when we're done with this procedure.
Then export the 2 objects using different names, eg,
Wall and
Wall_Wave.
2) Import the 2 objects in Lumion.
3) Place the 2 objects in your scene. The
Wall object should already have the grey brick texture from Cinema4D. The
Wall_Wave object should have your grey wave texture.
4) Assign a
Glass material to
Wall_Wave using the settings on the screenshot above.
5) Align the two objects.
6) If there's flickering when the 2 objects overlap, you may want to apply a
Standard material to the
Wall object, and adjust the
Depth Offset slider.
