Here is my latest project.
Our client wanted us to come up with 3 different concepts for their back yard. The shop, putting green and sports court were already locked in place, so I did not have that much room left over for a fire pit, water features, patio, shade structure and lush plantings.

This took 2 days to design and build in SketchUp and one day to add everything in Lumion 6.0.1  Each scene took around 15 to 2 hours for my computer to build.

My clients were blown away and they are leaning towards concept one with some tweaks - although i prefer concept 3 :(

Nicely done Chuck! They all look great but I tend to agree with you, 3 would be my choice as well. I like the added awnings, both functional and attractive.

Congratulations  :),

Very nice Chuck, as usual. How have these animations helped our design presentations since you started using Lumion? It makes it much easier to present the project, doesn't it?

Thanks Babe, WP Visions and Pauldavis!

I love Lumion - I always line item my 3D design work as an additional option, and when I have some clients ask if it's worth it I tell the story of this one presentation, as a lot of clients can't read plan view to save their lives :).

I was presenting 3 concepts to one of my clients - I always start by going over the 2D cad designs first - to go over the location of the main elements and for a quick over view. Before I showed them our Lumion/3D work, our client stated that they really liked concept A & B, but they hated concept C  - they didn't like or get "all the curves". They really wanted straight lines to play off the architecture of the house (like in concept A & B).  I then presented our Lumion animation - and by far their favorite concept was C.  They were so glad that they went with the 3D option, so they could truly see the full design. It was well worth the extra money!!
