Hello,

The old adage "a picture is worth a thousand words" goes a long way in both design and construction. This was a fast project to show an ownership group the plan to dig, investigate safely, document, and refill the San Andreas fault... within an existing parking lot. Lumion is a great tool for visualizing construction processes. I use it daily, and while I can't share my more elaborate projects at this point, I thought I'd share this quick hitter.

It may not be the prettiest, but it did wonders for our client in order to understand our plan of attack.

This was done in Lumion 7. Advanced move was used to show most of the concepts. It was modeled in SketchUp and edited in an external video editor.

Cheers!

That's a really good way of showing the process - I enjoyed watching it! This type of moving graphic should be done more by a lot of companies.

Thank you J.

Glad you enjoyed it, and I agree! Would love to see some design visualizations utilizing more movement. Even the clip plane or removing exterior walls and almost "exploding" the structure/design. Could be very powerful.
