Résidencial Project with 130000m²

Here is my latest project.

Residential subdivision ready for commercialization in southern France.
The project is quite big with 130,000 m²

The result is very satisfying with the use of Google Earth.
I could finally enjoy the power of Lumion with Windows 10.
I still almost reaches the FPS limit due to external 3D elements of Lumion.
The video was made with 30H rendering, renew 2 times because of color change on some buildings.
I can not say no to my clients. I have to improve myself.  :-D

UNBELIEVABLE  130,000 m² !

It would take a few days...  weeks to walk around it .
Super-dooper project, Francan
the roads and all the details make the whole project
look very clean & clear.

Francan - that was sweet!

That is one large project and your hard work really paid off!

How did you get such a large Google Earth image that is not fuzzy?

Thanks for sharing!

Gilles, You do well to remind me because I will soon attack a mega water park. A bit of patience.  :D

Chuck, it is made with 3 layers of different quality images and different size. The lowest layer has the best quality, of course. And the horizon is a panoramic 360 °

Hi guys. For those working on very large projects or other subdivision that requires insertion in the existing field, How you are doing, to have the best possible picture to the ground. you have other techniques?

The context looks really good! How did you download the topography for such a large area? Did you capture smaller pieces in sketchup and stitch them together? We also tried using a 360 pano png image  for a background however when the shadows catch it it ends up looking like a curved surface. How did you get yours to appear so uniformly lit? Is there a way to tell lumion that a material doesn't receive and cast shadows?

Great work though it's truly impressive!

Has a detailed explanation of how to get hi res images from Google Earth.

Also a very handy extension makes this all a breeze. https://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/adebeo-danieltall_gemaker

Francan, that is a great animation..Congratulations. The 360 pano looks amazing, would love to have more info on how this was accomplished
