here is a project of a french real estate housing.


it takes about 5hours to render this one on 2stars quality, and medium size...
i think my graphic card is a bit slow, can i go faster with a better card?

Hello

1-Do not you have very heavy objects in the scene? (such as grid 3d) This undermines the very time of render.

2-If you set 16:9 Movie Maker, you will have a better use of the image.

Hi lordbibo, you can check how your graphics card compares to other cards in this thread:

To prevent the objects from flickering/disappearing at the beginning of your video, add the "Camera Clip Planes" effect to that clip, and adjust the "Near plane" slider until the flickering is gone. You can also animate the "Near plane" if necessary by clicking on the small circular button to the right of the slider to set a keyframe.

thanks for answer,

@ Gilson Antunes : yes i have a very heavy grid, all the ground you see at the beginning is a big picture took on google earth, apply as a texture on sketchup and finnaly import in lumion.
Do you know if i can do a better way?

@ Morten : i'm looking for a new card, maybe the GTX 570, think it's enought... but i also need to change my amimentation block...
and thanks for the tips about the "camera clip plane", i didn't know this fonction...

One suggestion would be to adjust your focal length a bit, the Lumion default is way to low and creates distortion...especially at the edges of the camera view.  If you are finding that you can not get everything in the view, maybe pause your camera and "look around" before walking thought some more.  Overall, i really like the feel of the movie, maybe darken up the sky/ clouds just a bit.  I agree with keeping the vid at 16:9 in lieu of 4:3.  Keep up the great work!

The default is low because it makes it easy to edit and navigate. To see everything in the right proportions you should set it around 41mm. Anything smaller makes everything look more spaceaous and anything bigger makes objects look closer together than they really are.
