hey,

on sketchucation ( http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=46572 ) there is a thread where you can show what your favorite render engine can do with a sketchup sample model...this is my attempt there.

setting up the scene took 30 minutes.

I think I can see some grass in the reflection. If you place the reflection control object near the ladder the reflection will probably look even bettter.

Dear Carloh
Great work... 1. but can explane by step how you can the water reflect the windows & wall of pool  ? like the mirror ?
because my reflect for all material is (sky+land) origin
2.is there any setting for reflection mirror to reflect any body near them ?

Thanks

Hi Ayad Mohsen,

What you are seeing on the water is a 360 degree panoramic reflection texture which is rendered from a single point in the scene (this point is set by adding the Lights/Utilities/Reflection Control object to your scene).

If you haven't added the Lights -> Utilities -> Reflection Control object to your scene, the 360 degree panoramic reflection texture which is applied to all reflective materials in your scene, will be placed high above the terrain in a default position. This is why you don't see any of your models in the reflection.

Generally speaking, in most scenes, you could try to move the Reflection Control object close to your camera. Whenever you move the Reflection Control object, the 360 degree panoramic reflection texture will be rendered again, so you can see if the reflections look a little better. Just bear in mind that it will never be perfect reflections (I have previously explained this to you in other replies to your questions).
