Photogramaphy and Lumion

So I was poking around on the Sketch-Fab site and came across several models created using Photogramaphy.  (If you've not heard of what that is, its taking many photographs of an object or place from many different angles and then letting software take those images and stitch together a 3D surface model from those images and the model is textured as well from those photographs).

Well importing these models was extremely easy and I only had to deal with rotation and scaling of the models as they are already textured.  Then used the Fantastic Lumion to work on creating nice scenes for these objects.

So this is a quick little animation I put together showing these tests using three of these models.  First animation has a model of a riverbank full of roots used several times and a tree trunk model is located at the top of the closest bank.

The second scene contains a model of an old tomb I placed in a desert scene.

This could be done with this process of Photogramaphy or using digitally scanned area models (but those wont be textured).

So thought I would share this with you all.
Enjoy

Update:
Apparently the Tomb is a Digital Scan, where as the roots and tree are Photomagraphy models.
