Hi Pierre, it is unfortunately not yet possible to spin objects more than 180 degrees in Lumion with the "Animate objects" effect.

You may also use Blender which is free.

Too bad Lumion does not recognise plugins like SU animate, real animation, sketchyphysics, etc in SU as that can be used for animations and exported as fbx

We'd need an exporter for that. One that can export animation. There have been words about a native SU-to-Lumion exporter developed by the Lumion Team to fix the issue with material reloading with the the native SU Collada exporter but since it has now been changed and the problem fixed, I do not think we should hold our breaths until such a dedicate exporter arrives.

I should really learn some of these basic animation functions of Blender and see if they can be brought into Lumion. I would not need much. It is unlikely that I will model any scene with a helicopter in the near future but old water mills are probable (we used to have lots of them here in town until about a century ago and I actually have a project where I could add some). A simple rotation would be nice of course.

Yes, as someone has already noted, Blender would perform this function suitably, and best still - it is free!

Another alternative is to creat a textured circle - semi-transparent, with a swirl texture.  I once saw a Sketchup WWI aircraft use this.  Just change the angle from front to above the craft!

The files attached above are not the Max
They are the Lumion.

That would be a good way of doing it if Lumion supported alpha transparency better. Currently something is either 100% opaque or transparent (to my best knowledge at least).

Actually, animated GIF support would also be nice.
