Hmm, there's some subtle flickering in the MP4 video as if the exposure isn't adjusting smoothly. I'll ask Remko to have a look.

Yes, I noted too. Upload a Video  :o
Anyway, have you noticed that are lighting without shadows, the flickering is of the same intensity of light over floor material.

Complicated this morning I could not comment about this, but I stopped the animation night as I noticed. Another problem is the dirt that emit some light, I had mentioned in another post.

I hope to resolve it. Pass more detail in 1 hour. Greetings.

The flickering shadows in your latest (small) video is caused by the way the ambient/diffuse shadows work in Lumion (and many other real-time 3D applications).

Ambient shadows (also known as SSAO: Screen Space Ambient Occlusion) is an effect which applies soft shading to each pixel on the screen depending on how close 3D surfaces are to each other. Since the effect is only able to use the pixels on the screen as seen from the current camera angle, the effect "doesn't know" what's behind other objects, and can only take surfaces that face the camera into account.

All you can do is to reduce the Ambient Shadows/Ambient Scale and the Diffuse Shadow sliders, and try to avoid camera angles/movement that show the limitations of this effect.

It's probably more visible at night when using the 360 degree Ambient Lights that don't cast shadows, since you then have to compensate for the lack of shadows by increasing the Ambient Shadows/Ambient Scale and the Diffuse Shadow sliders.

(Just to avoid confusion, the subtle flickering I was referring to only seems to occur when I play the MP4s in Windows Media Player, not in VLC/QuickTime, but anyway, this is not related to the issue you're talking about)

Another problem is the dirt that emit some light, I had mentioned in another post.

And you have already tried to adjust the Shadowmap Offset slider (as well as the Shadow slope offset slider if this occurs in sunlight)?

And it always appears on the final renderings?

I assume you're still talking about the disappearing/re-appearing Ambient Shadow function that I mentioned in my reply above.

It's always been like this since Lumion 1. The reason you are noticing it now is that the Ambient Shadows are more visible at night due to the lack of sunlight.

However, the only thing that has changed since Lumion 1 is the way that these shadows are filtered. They are still calculated the same way and can only take surfaces that are visible from the camera angle into perspective (not surfaces that are occluded by other objects), and as far as I know you can't prevent the Ambient Shadows from disappearing/re-appearing like this.

All you can do is to reduce the Ambient Shadows/Ambient Scale/Diffuse Shadow values to make the issue less noticeable.

Is a shame, because having illumination without shadows and remove SSAO is like paint white with Photoshop on a dark image. I will try some variations and then mentioned it.
