This promotional marketing animation project was completed for Mustang High School in Mustang, Oklahoma. MA+ Architecture was selected in the Fall of 2016 to work on bond planning for the school, as well undertaking the task of designing and building a new Performing Arts Center. For the video, I wanted a fairly linear fly-through, but with a cinematic approach to the depiction of the building and its interior spaces. With the building's East-West orientation, it allowed for dramatic sunrise/sunset sequences at the beginning and end of the animation. Thus, I took on a "day-in-the-life" narrative for the underlying theme of the video.
The animation portion of the project took about a month and half to complete in the late summer of 2018, with about two weeks of intensive render time at the end to hit the required deadline. In early 2019, I went back and updated the animation across the board utilizing Lumion 9's many upgrade rendering features, including the 3D grass materials, and Real Skies lighting engine. I used multiple machines to render, the primary workhorse being an i9 / 32 GB RAM / GeForce RTX 2080ti. The other machines were i7 / 32 GB RAM / Geforce GTX 1080Ti or 1080 (depending on the machine).
The project was created using a combination of Revit, 3ds Max, and Photoshop. It was rendered in Lumion 9, composited in After Effects, and edited in Premiere.
