I think many people will use this version and then crop the logo 
The whole point is that you are not allowed to. To be honest anyone can just download a pirated version and use that. Just like I can rob a bank instead of going to work. The point I'm trying to make is that if you
can do something it's not necessarily right.
We think that if you use the free version with cropping and all at some point you probably want to have a real version because of all the extra content and you do not want to mess around with cropping the logo every time.
If this does not work out we can always reduce the functionality of the Free version. Reduce the maximum number of objects, maximum number of save files, that sort of thing. The main idea now is that the Free version has some use and is not crippled so much it's completely useless. It has to be useful enough to get a good idea about Lumion and weather you should buy it or not.
The philosophy we have is that we make nice software so people want to buy it. If someone really does not want to pay for software they will always find a way. If you buy the software you always get the latest updates as soon as possible, you get support and you are investing in future improved versions.
