It works. But it's a LOT of Work!!!!!!!!!!

Max>V-Ray>Convert>Export>Import>Adjust in Lumion.

OK for a few simple lights, but how about 100 or more lights, very complex interior scene? LOL

I'm anxiously awaiting the real lighting system promised in the next version of Lumion.

But, for now it's a workable solution--good to know.

Thanks for posting the videos!

We won't be able to get the same quality as Vray with Lumion 2.0 but interiors like this one should be possible ofcourse.

Remko, why not explain in a clear example how to do this type of lighting with lightmaps?
I guess as always go crazy lost and lack of time.
But not you think it will make time to spend a precious time to make new video tutorials?

Unfortunately right now we don't have enough time to make some video's (Because of Lumion 2.0) but maybe some of the users on the forum can explain it to you. The basic process is quite simple. You create a light mapped model in 3DS Max or another program and then you have to apply the right material in Lumion. If I am not mistaken you can assign two layers of textures in your model program and import that so you have one layer for the base color and one layer for the light map. I think we could make importing easier for you by enhancing the importer. We could for example automatically assign the right material type to each material upon import.
