Here's some renders of a lab we worked on for a real time model brought into Lumion.

Many thanks

Nice work.

But this brings up a point I'd mentioned before about Lumion:

This is a good example of where the software really needs artificial lighting--not just "illuminating maps"
applied to objects for lighting of interior scenes. We design a lot of spaces like casinos where there are now windows--it is ALL about interior artificial light. So Lumion just is not the answer yet. ( Take a look at TwinMotion, which is a similar app and it has artificial lighting.)

For example, look at the basic 2 x 4 flourescent lights. Lighting is critical in a lab project as exact amount of lumens/footcandles on the work surface is an absolute requirement. Not to mention any task lighting.

Funny that the name of the software is "Lumion"...............but no lumens for interiors!

Just my 2 c worth.

hummmm... really interesting post!!!

the main problem in rendering is the light's control, even it's sunny or artificial. many of these "new" render programs are developing app to solve this issue, Luxion, Bunkspeed,.... are quickly implementing this option for don't loose customers... it's really funny see as expectator this racing.

we'll waiting in Lumion this option

Here is a quick movie from the scene as well.

Thanks for the feedback.  I do agree that it would be great to be able to place interior light sources but Lumion is still relatively new.  We have been ACT3D customers for some years now and I have every faith that this sort of thing will appear soon enough.  It will be a welcome addition because as you say just pumping up the emmisive doesn't give the desired effect.

Many thanks

Oh and yes Frank it does look a little Silent Hill haha.  I got bored of everything being sunny so thought I would have a play.  I might have a go at some daytime shots as well later.
