Regular type home for family life.  This is the section/exterior view animation. Only in Lumion V1.

I need to re-render as noticed the SSAO (outside furniture near end), is too much even though had set it low, maybe the wrong vlaue of the scale.

Hi Peter,

It looks pretty damn good in my opinion, so not sure what you mean about the SAO for the outside furniture.  Maybe you can give amateurs like myself some hints on your perceptions/aesthetic views on this?

Hi

Many thanks blendman.

See attached pic, need more even shadow rather than the blotchy look.  It's only in one small part of the video but I noticed it after render.  Need to tweak the SSAO and shadow settings a bit to see if can get improved, current try tended to loose all the SSAO.  Lumion Version 2 apparently has a new SSAO that might give more even coverage and added shadow/depth.

SSOA was improved a LOT in v2. First of all the algorithm is much better and second it only shadows ambient lighting. Direct lighting should not have SSOA bacause direct light causes sharp shadows and not ambient shadows.

Wow...you can really handle a camera!!!    I'm finding out model making is very different than movie making...there is so much to see and learn and much of it is very subtle.

you are right Modelhead.

Making models is only one piece.
They have to be good in the first place or everything else is whatever.

Making the movie is another ball of wax all together - its as challenging as the first part.
I never realized because no other software has allowed the possibilities so easily.
Camera motion...where the images are shot from...setting....background views....music...timing...context....color.....transitions....action....sequence.....lighting.....and more.  Knock the software for its flaws but mostly the let down comes from the executioner/director/creator of the movie itself.  One has to know the constraints.

We have seen some really great examples of what is possible with Lumion.
Beautiful and stunning.

Better stuff is coming round the corner.
I don't even think this thing has caught on yet.

Once everyone starts applying the techniques that the super talented people share, all of Lumion's videos will improve across the board.

I can't wait to see what gets made with this new version.  It adds some hotness!
