Dear All,

Thought I'd share this fun project with you.  Sylvius Leopold Weiss was the greatest lutenist composer of the Baroque period!  Made with Lumion, and modelled with Blender.  Enjoy!  :)

Included here an Update (26th April, 12): Animating Sylvius.  The original static (long) Sylvius video follows this herein:

Hi Michael. You're a man of many talents! I have enough trouble on my guitar, let alone all those strings. Great work.

Thanks Kais and Derekw,

I would hve liked to animated all the figures, but this would have require much more time.  At some point I might do an amended version of all.

Derekw, the Baroque lute has 26 strings, double strings tuned in unison.  My problem is not the playing but the tuning!  Living here in the M.E. keeping such an instrument in tune is near impossible!

Great  fun idea. Take the right arm off and bring it in by itself. Then find a way to animate that arm to simulate finger movement....if you really get crazy...do the same with the head and let it nod to the rythm...not often...just to follow the dynamics of the song. I bet everybody would put a nichol in the box to see him play....  8)

Hi Modelhead,

I'm actually doing a revision with ANIMATION RIGHT NOW! So your suggestions are very welcome and likely to come to fruition.

Many thanks.
