Some renderings out Lumion with an older project. I was stroked about using that much trees without a crash. Wintertrees made by modifiing the dds-files in the native folders of Lumion.

Schaumburg Castle 1730 (one of this will become our X-mas Card):

Here some some short movies made with an old real-time project for a

museum in germany. I didn´t think i would get such good results without

 lightmaps.

Project has 1.7 Mio polygons, and it runs with 12-13 Frames in Lumion, depending on my system (3,0 GHz core2duo, 470GTX, 4GB RAM).

Former baroque Castle of Salzdahlum around 1730:

If there is an support for alphachannel sometimes, i will create 2D-people with baroque clothes. Or is it possible to edit the lumion 2D-people?

Hi, you can create Billboard people with alpha channels. You just have to use PNG or TGA images as textures and use a special you will find as downloadlink in the forum. Just search for billboard in the general discussion.

Thank you, now i found it too. But there seem to be problems with shadows on them. So i now use static planes.

Here are some renderings from a reconstruction-model of the Palace Square in city of Wolfenbüttel (Germany) around 1740.
Model and a movie were made for an exhibition about the history of the palace and city in 2007 shown in the Palace-Museum.

Creating reconstruction-models of historical buildings / cities is one of my main fields of activities. Clients are museums, for example. (If i understood your question well, as my english is not the best.)

...and the actual projects look more dirty, but they are not allowed to publish...

What I meant was the references to make the models themselves.
Paintings, drawings, perhaps even old types of 'blueprints'. Are those commonly available or do you have to reconstruct a lot on a 'guessing' basis? Do most of these buildings still exist or are most long gone?
