Hey, this is a 3D world I've recently completed for a renovation of a home in Burlington. This project was especially challenging because of the scale and view. Took geographical (the size of hamilton)data converted to 3D to show the correct elevations of the Burlington Bay. Also went to the site and created 2d billboards of the shore on the other side, so as not to see only trees but also the manufacturing buildings.

Anyways, here it is:

System Specs:
Windows 7
i7 3930k
GTX 980ti
32gb RAM

House model built in SoftPlan 3D. 10 hours.
Sketchup and Lumion. 30 hours.

For the geological data, I received it from Geogratis, a Canadian geographical database. Then converted the CDEM file into an obj and voila it was done.

Render time was very long because there is over 14,000+ trees, and I had to render the highest quality. If I did it again at 5 stars with reflections off, it might land around 40 hours. Total time from looking at the file date creation and date modified says 5 days 19 hours. I'm definitely not going to render the project video again.
