Folks, I'm afraid the problem flashes must be for the NVIDIA Quadro 5000M, since the other components do not think it can be.
I'm working with a workstation Dell M6500:
I7 processor (X940 2.13 Ghz).
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
and 16 Gb of Ram.
I've read some forum Lumion incompatibilities Quadro graphics cards.
I hope the new version L2, compatible; over these cards, as for the rest of the 5000M program works perfectly, as it should be for the price it has.
a greeting
Hi Severino, you're using the same plattform I do, except the RAM, mine have 32 Gb, but I don't have flashes during the animations. It's true Quadro cards aren't the best one to Lumion as you can read in the forum, also is real how you can use this cards with better performance with some tips (I wrote a post some time ago).
After testing many cards (most of them Quadro due another software) we opted to render in a workstation with a Gainward Gtx 580 Phantom, the results are optimal. If you love high end Quadro Series as me, You've the chance to change your M5000M by M5010M (dell M6500 is able to use it) with 4 Gb Ram, but this is very explensive card and isn't available in many countries, only in USA to by directly (cost over 2.000 USD). of course this isn't the best solution.
How I've solved some problems with Quadro cards? is very simple, first of all, reduce the lumion's workflow screen size for working, over 2/3 total size, and reduce the "quality stars" to 3 while preparing the model.
Then, the most important thing is: leave absolutely alone working the workstation with lumion while you're rendering, do not touch the mouse, or open any other applications, each time you do this probably you'll find a flash in your animation.
I hope this will be useful for you.
