A little personal project I recently completed to practice creating realistic environments. The scene was created using the Eco-House design from 3Dwarehouse. all credit for the original base model goes to 3D-Warehouse user Andres
A really simple base model that has a cool concept of being plotted atop a natural wetlands. This gave a great opportunity to do a highly detailed environment. I'm a pretty firm believer that the environment can sometimes show the character of a building better than the building itself.
This scene also allowed me to test out some of the different lighting and colouring methods I've been working on. The images include a mixture of photo-realistic attempts, as well as some more cinematic colouring options.
This is also the first time I have used photogrammetry models in my scenes. The scan of the paperbark was completed by 3dsky user Nate_siddle
