This is a rehash of a previously illustrated design - but for a new site with different layout. The previous site was illustrated with Lumion 7 - so interesting to see the leap made using the current release. Hopefully the client will notice it too !!

Given the repetitive nature of the street elevation (and the fact that, for once, it is rather hot here in the UK at the moment), I also tried adding a bit of snow to one render for added interest.

8 or 9 seconds to render on 1080ti (as an 'older geezer' that's still a lilttle bit of magic). Couple of minutes in post.

Interested to hear any other creative ways to add interest to potentially repetitive street elevations other people may use. Without causing too much comment from client.

Thank you Babe, true. I tried the whole 'naked people and cannabis plants in the window' thing, way back in the 90s before people were so uptight. We can now definately class that as one of the 'causing too much comment from client' approaches to adding points of interest  :-D

Maybe Jezzerman's hidden gnomes will just have to do. You know he has gnomes in his garden, right ?

Great job Crookster!!!

The amount of detail you have on your models, always takes it to the next level!!

I think my favorite image is 2-  I really like the mood!

Yes - Gnome Friday!  That was a slightly amusing end to the week - maybe I'll introduce it on the Lumion forum!

Nice work P by the way.

Thanks Chuck. Maybe I will be able to post something a bit more interesting before too long - not bogged down with NDAs - and with LOTS of details  ;)

The crazy planning sytem here in the UK (Don't ask), in conjuction with a chronic housing shortage, as seen mile after mile of houses such as these being built. Atleast with Lumion, an element of interest (or indeed 'mood') can be added; be it with weather/season/lighting etc. I love being able to experiment with such concepts in minutes, rather than days as with some other render engines. It certainly helps bring a little life to more utilitarian looking scenes. And no doubt the 80+ year old planning committe members delight in the extensive range of flowering annuals Lumion offers, whilst admiring the way the sun is playing off the English Bond brickwork, making up the 'Mock Victorian' frontage they so thoughtfully put forward as their idea of 'vernacular'.  :-r

And George, don't lament the gnomes too much. I have kidnapped them all and they're on a slowboat to a certain Greek speaking island, just south of Turkey ;0) They'll look great on your balcony ! Might have put a coupe of planning officers in there too though...

That definately sounds better than 'dress down Friday' Jezzer. I do that every day.

'Hide a gnome in your work Friday'. Do you think it could get it's own section in the forum ???  ;)

I thought Fridays for you were 'Dress Friday'.  Isn't it when the wife gives you access to her wardrobe?  I bet you're going for that little short summer dress you love so much this week.....

And I wondered where all my Gnomes had gone - looks like they've gone to a happier place in the sun...
