Cathedral of Freedom / Plecnik Parliament (Slovene: Plecnikov parlament) is the colloquial name of two designs for a building intended to house the legislature of the People's Republic of Slovenia within the second Yugoslavia. Formally known as the Slovene Acropolis and the Cathedral of Freedom (Slovenska akropola / Katedrala svobode), the two designs were proposed in 1947 by Slovenia's most eminent architect, Joze Plecnik, but were rejected in favour of a more conventional design.

A square, colonnaded false façade would have surrounded the cylindrical main building of two stories, surmounted by a tall, spirally tapering conical cupola. Supported internally by inclined columns, the cupola would have spanned the parliament chamber. The facade would have measured 50 m in length, the tower rising to 120 m. Several slightly varying designs were produced, some including a second colonnade wrapping the second floor of the main building, different porticoes, or an asymmetrical ground floor.

Great animation: Perfect textures, lighting, camera-work.
I also like the desaturated look, because most of the animations in LUmion have too much colour in my opinion.
The only thing: I don't need splitted screens, because it's too much for my eyes.
But beside of that one of the best animations i've seen so far, done with Lumion.
Congratulations!

And who would have thought that the Dark Lodge was designed by Joze Plecnik, not BOB :-D

Thanx Babe, I think it was worth waiting rendering in HD (wish Lumion would run on SLI, I want 4k).

Rapan you observe very well  :-D. Some say BOB was intra-dimensional + Jupiter and Saturn were in the alignment so it slipped into the video somehow ???? David would know:)

Fabulous - very artistic camera work and mood. A tiny thing for me - I wasn't so keen on the faster of the in - out to focus shots but really inspiring work -  awesome texturing and lighting.

This.  Is.  Amazing.  That parchment scene in the beginning is beautiful.  It's definitely one of the best, most real, clips I've seen on this forum.

The texture on the paper was really cool.  Did you create it in photoshop?  I'm thinking along the lines of that cobblestone post where you have a tiff image with an alpha map and such.  OR did you just create the paper texture and the floorplan in the same normal map?

Thank you ttaylor.

I took HD photos of the plan from the national archives. I it's multiple plans cut, cropped and put together. Then I made png of the structure outlines in full black and overlayed over a photo of old drafting paper I found + added some burn marks, coffe stains etc... Bumpmaps were created in Lumion as the image is quite contrasty and it worked out quite well.
