Hi Jenz1e

Sorry, to hear you are also having the same problem.  It is till now not a known issue with the management of the license.

Please wait whilst I check our records.

The License Key issued to you is not set as invalid.

Please attach to your next reply a screenshot of the error message.

ps: the only time you are asked for a code is if you manually run the Installer exe file and it needs the Activation Code.  If you download fmr the email link it will automatically try to enter that code for you.  When installing the files, there are no other codes required.

Please also forward to us the Getting Started with Lumion email for your Trial to [email protected]

ps: I see that it was successfully installed in the 21 July and Lumion was in use for a period of about 5 1/4 hours on that day, but no use since then.

Hi there, yes it installed successfully, but the product was never in use. Maybe it started counting when I tried to access the program, and then didn't click on "quit".. I just closed my laptop.

Regardless - any assistance would be appreciated.

The screenshot is attached

Thanks,

Hi Jenz1e

Thanks for the update.

Hmmm, the period commences when you activate (first use) Lumion.  As that was only on the 21st, the period should not have expired.

It is not showing as invalid, and also as not in use, so there seems to be some problem that we will need to report to the developers and get them to investigate.  The offices open CET+1 so it will be at least 8 hours before we could have an answer, pending workloads.  Sorry about that, do you need it now as in the next few hours.

As for Lwin, an option would be to request a Pro Trial, that will let you see all the features and content.

One thing to try before I report the problem.  I see that there have not been any releases, so can you try quitting Lumion now if it's open.

Update: just re-checked our records and see that the laptop is now running the Trial, so do you now have access or if not, then click on the Quit button, and then try opening Lumion again.  Do you still get the message?

Hi there, it probably showed that it was running the trial because I opened it back up to get the screenshot. I assure you, I have never gotten the chance to use the program yet. It has said my trial period is expired since the very first time I downloaded and tried to open it.

i did just try one more time, and yes it still says the same thing.

I know it shouldn't make a difference, but this computer is brand new as well..  I purchased it with the sole intent of rendering, and Lumion is the first product that I wanted to try.

So that is the first time you have requested the Trial?

And first time tried installing it on this machine then given it's new?

I see it is currently active, so do you now have access?

Yes this is the first time I've requested the trial. I have never used this program before, on this computer or any other.

I'm not sure what your definition of 'active' is, but to answer this question once again the program does not work, and has not worked for me. It still says the trial period is expired. It has since the first time I installed it. I have not been able to use it at all.

On the weekend I uninstalled completely, redownloaded and reinstalled about 4 or 5 times. Same result every time. The only thing that has ever changed, is the very first time I opened it, it performed some sort of a benchmark test before it gave me the 'trial period expired' message. It didn't do that any subsequent time.

Hi Jenz1e,

It is normal behavior that your system gets benchmarked the very first time you start Lumion. This only happens one time.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Lumion public trial will not make any difference. As the license check is done on the server-side. Until we find out what is causing this issue, it is best to request a Lumion Pro Trial from your local reseller.
This will give you the complete version of Lumion Pro.

See the link in my previous reply in this topic

Hi Jenz1e

I installed your Trial here, and it was able to run OK with no expired message and has 9 days to go.

We must conclude that somehow the License Key Management System sees that for some reason the License Key has been fully used, or there was a previous one that had, despite you having a new PC and not installing Lumion before on that PC.

We will keep an eye on things, but as Floyd recommends, please request the Lumion Pro Trial.

Hello, just an update. On July 24th I submitted a request to the authorized reseller for the Pro trial. The response said they would review it and get to me within a couple of days and I have yet to hear anything back from them. I must say that I wouldn't expect these types of issues with a software with a price point such as this, and with the reputation that Lumion has. The person that I'm going to be doing some work for has requested Lumion for his renders. I've never used it and wanted to try it out, but at this rate I may just go with an alternative.

Hi Jenz1e,

Sorry for the delay in response about the Lumion Pro trial.

I just sent a message to our Lumion USA Support Office about the issue, they should follow up shortly.

Thank you for your patience.
