[Answered] subscription or non-commercial License

Hello,

I've recently discovered Lumion and downloaded the trial; I have instantly fallen in love. I am a Lead Environment Artist in the games industry and Lumion provides so many amazing, simple and beautiful tools many other renderers do not. Sadly, the cost of the software is incredibly prohibitive for personal projects(non-commercial) projects I would love to explore.

Many other tools in my industry, even those from Autodesk have move to more reasonable subscription services for indie or personal usage. Does such a thing exist for Lumion?

I really feel like there is a missed opportunity here. With my trial with the software I've already discovered countless usability improvement that could really make Lumion a stable for environment exploration in the games industry.

Hi thebigxer

Many thanks for your interest in Lumion.  :)  Glad to hear it has hit a spot for you.

Lumion has a Perpetual License so that users can keep using Lumion without being forced in to further subscriptions.  So to answer your question, no there are no subscription options available,  but the developers do keep an eye on the market about pricing and licensing options.

You are welcome to post your suggestions, but please be aware Lumion is a focused software for architectural visualization.

You're welcome to post your suggestions in the dedicated Feedback & Ideas section in the much bigger Support Center (I've registered your License Key for you so that you've got access).
