Hi mond1224

Any CPU that has a clock speed that supports the performance of the graphics card will do.  So if the new Ryzens have a clock rate of 4.0GHz or better for GTX 10xx series, or 4.2GHz (preferably 4.5GHz) for RTX series or equivalent Radeon cards, then the CPU will be fine.

Can you provide the link to the information where we only mention Intel CPU's, please.

Our prime Knowledge Base article does not mention either make so that the reader can choose based on clock rates.  Please see What kind of computer does Lumion need?

ps: what version of Lumion are you using?

Hello,
allow me to join the discussion because I would be interested in the future Ryzen 3950X with a GTX 1080ti or RTX 2080ti.
Lumion PRO 9.5 - Sketchup PRO 2018 - Windows 10 PRO - i7-9700K 3.60 Ghz - 32 Go RAM - RTX 2080 Ti + GTX 1060 6GB - 2 x AOC Q3277PQU

Hi David,

the reply from Peter still applies

The Ryzen 3950X has a Max Boost speed of 4.7GHz, so the CPU is a good fit for both video cards.

The Ryzen 3950X is apparently going to be 50 percent more expensive than the Ryzen 9.  It's currently said that shipping will not be till September, so there is only what we see from reviews.

How well that CPU works with those cards, and especially the RTX 2080 Ti will not be known for some time though.
