Hi, I'm Roberto Masili, a student of University of Architecture. In December my license for using Lumion 9 Pro Student is expired, I would like to know how it is possible to request renewal for another year.  Currently I am completing some projects for the thesis I have been working for about a year, and I can not finish because the license has expired.

Hi Roberto, sorry to hear that.

Student License Keys are valid for 1 year, and your License Key expired in November 2018.

As you're still a student, you can easily renew your License Key by contacting your local reseller:

Lumion website: Find reseller

Let us know if there's anything else we can help with.

Hi thanks for the reply, I have contacted my Italian dealer, but what I was told was that I should contact the technical support on lumion.com:
The Italian retailer tells me that they do not deal with student licenses. How you can grant the use to a student of a license during a course of study for the preparation of the exams and then not renew it. I can not finish my exams now and I can not even open the files through a person who has a Pro license. This is absurd, we are the future architects and your future clients that will buy Lumion!

I appreciate that you're feeling upset.

However, please do not worry - I'm sure this issue can be resolved.

The local Lumion resellers across the globe are indeed responsible for Student License Keys in all regions apart from the USA where it's handled by SheerID.

We will contact the Italian reseller to remind them about their obligations.

They will contact you if they require any additional details in order to issue a new Student License Key.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help with.

No problem, Roberto.

In the meantime, we have contacted the Italian reseller.

As their office is currently closed, I expect them to get back to you tomorrow (unless they check their emails outside office hours).

I'll update this topic as soon as they reply.

Have a good evening.

Hi thank you soo much for the interest.
This morning I received an email that confirm that my license is again active,  after that I try Lumion, start the application, but it stop with the follow message (license expired) (you can see in attachment).

I can try disinstall the application and reinstall or it is only a matter of time that the system online upgrade the license?

Regards

Hi Roberto, Student License Keys can't be renewed.

Since the Student License Key is embedded in the installation, you should uninstall your existing version of Lumion as it's using the expired Student License Key.

Your local reseller will issue a new Student License Key which is valid for 365 days.

You will then receive a new 'Getting started with Lumion 9.0.2' email that contains the new Student License Key and Download Manager.

Please wait while we confirm that your local reseller has issued your new Student License Key.
