Hi the MP4 720p format is a rule but if you manage to deliver a file which also has similar quality with a different codec (Xvid/DivX/Mov) that will be fine too. We do require 720p resolution though and you'll have to decide for yourself how many stars you will render. It's the endresult that counts so whoever sends in the best looking movie wins. We'll make sure that any movie that looks good will end up on our homepage ofcourse so you'll get some exposure even if you don't win. It does not matter if you created movies a year ago or published them before. All that is a required is a movie made with Lumion we can use on our website and brochures so people can see what you can make with Lumion.

Thanks Remko for this feedback, I really appreciate.

Music/Sound makes it better - unless you are doing a silent movie for effect.

2) UPDATED: If you want to use models from Google Warehouse, you should always ask permission from the person who uploaded the model you'd like to use. That's what we did with the building and some of the furniture in the Alpine Dwelling scene.

Also bear in mind that Google doesn't check if any of the uploaded models infringe on existing copyrights, so if a model uses a commercial texture/mesh that you use in your competition video you would be liable.

Then, can we add final credits at the end of the video to include the name of the author of the models if he/she asked us to do it so?

Can we use classical music in our videos? (Is it royalty free?)

Is there any type of standard message to send our videos? will we recieve a confirmation e-mail?

Thank you.

Sure.

Any genre of music is acceptable. Whether it is royalty free or not depends on where you download it from. Always check the license type/terms & conditions on the website that you downloaded the music from. If in doubt, ask the administrator of the website.

Is there any type of standard message to send our videos?

No, just make sure you provide your name/company name (and perhaps additional contact details apart from your email address, just in case) and a link to your video.

will we recieve a confirmation e-mail?

I don't know - Remko is in charge of this.

Hello!

I am sorry for machine translation, I don't tell English.

Tell please you could download file "The house on the rocks 2011.rar" sent to you with [email protected]
The matter is that the statistics shows that the file still isn't downloaded by you. It would be desirable to correct a situation yet late.

you can remove your post when you confirm the Lumion workers have it downloaded.
- then you do not have worries.

Hello!
Sorry for this English machine translation.
I spent a lot of time and effort to make the film and at the very end noticed that all the scenes were 1920x1080.
Please tell me if the amount above that will allow me to participate in the competition?

Adrihal,

Resizing a video from larger to smaller is easy and will cause much less quality loss than if you did it the other way round (from smaller to larger). Do you have access to any video editing software? If not, you can even download a 30-day trial version of any and simply process your video.

SOS!
I can not find a program to reduce the image to 1280x720p without loss of quality.
Tell me please what to do.

Hi Stanislav, there are still 8 days until the competition is over. Is this not enough time to render your competition entry again, but in 1280x720p?

Or is your movie too long for that to be an option?

1080 is fine too but you'll need to be able to provide an mp4 file

Hi All,

Remko said 1080 is fine too provided it is an mp4 file format, are we now back to
strictly 1280???

8 days is not enough to re-render at 3 stars for a 5 minute animation, unless one has a super computer maybe.
